And thanks to Pinterest these lists are like 40 books long any more.

In my case, I blink and my wish list of books to read (also my complete TBR) grows exponentially.

It might be a problem…

Anyway, in an attempt to fix this problem, I set a two-book reading goal each month – each month’s TBR. And then I try to join in a couple buddy reads – where you read a book with someone to chat about all the feels as they unfold (like a book club but more cool… or maybe it’s less cool… it doesn’t matter). Then a friend suggests a read-a-thon or challenge and I jump in…

And somehow I never read those first two books…

So today’s prompt from Top Ten Tuesday is perfect!

10 Books that Went Unread in 2017

1. Illusion by Martina Boone – I had this in my one week challenge back in July 2017, and well it’s still not read…
2. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge – Again this was in that one week challenge… but I have it on deck right now… honestly I do!
3. Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau – I mentioned a ton of book series that I wanted to read during the summer, but didn’t even pick this up…
4. The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman – So this has been sitting on my TBR for years… I wanted to pick it up last year because of the movie and all… but, it just sits here…
5. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo – I mean I did finish Six of Crows last year, so I will be getting to one soon, real soon… hopefully… maybe…
6. Behind the Scenes by Jen Turano – Alright, this was on my Summer 2017 TBR – and while I did a great job with that list, this one still sits unread, and I’m not sure when I’ll get to it… I haven’t been feeling historical fiction in a while…
7. Siren’s Fury by Mary Weber – and Siren’s Song really… I loved book one, and the cover art is so pretty, and I adore the font of the spines… maybe this will be my year since last year wasn’t…
8. Starfall by Melissa Landers – I read book one – Starflight – and really enjoyed it – I’m not huge deep space person, but this was fun, and predictable… like sci-fi meets Hallmark movies… and I enjoyed it, but I haven’t gotten to book two…even though I’ve grabbed it form the library a few times now.
9. Ash & Bramble by Sarah Prineas – I am not sure for how long I’ve been wanting to pick this duology up…
10. The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer – I got this from the library when it was first released, and I was so excited but I never even got to open it and I’ve been distracted since then.. I will have to try again soon!
