Sign Language ABC & Cozy Book Hop
One the best things about books for kids is that they often teach multiple lessons at one time. Of course when I can use them as a teaching tool with multiple purposes I love them even more.
Recently I've been enjoying Sign Language ABC a Sesame Street book with Linda Bove as I teach my youngest sign language and review the alphabet with my preschooler. It is a two-in-one story time, and both of my boys think it's the best book ever!
The book shows the signs for each letter of the alphabet, one letter at a time. Each letter also has at least three additional signs to help reinforce the letter.
Sure it's a simple easy little read, but such a wonderful tool!
And now it's time for another book hop! I can't wait to see what you all have to share!
Please link up any and all posts related to reading, or books. I love to hear about all kinds of books from baby's first book, to grandma's reading lists.
Also if you could grab a button, or link back that would be great.
Get ready - hop!

DeleteI have this Sesame Stree book. I got it when I was in grade school, probably when I was about 7 or 8. I am 32 now and I still have this book. I have recently been introducing it to my 6 year old son. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great little book for the alphabet - a true classic in my book!
DeleteI learned a little sign language but haven't used it so it's kinda gone from my head unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI love to read though but often don't find the time/energy for it. I really should.
