Tidbits from Help Meets' Hearts

Wednesday, April 02, 2014

It was bound to happen, right?  I mean I love to read, I enjoy writing, and I'm in a group of encouraging women who are willing to push me a little outside of my comfort zone because they believe.

I, along with six lovely women, have put together an ebook of short practical encouragement for moms... and it comes out today!!

I wish I could be more confident, but this was a huge step for me... and to say I'm nervous is an understatement!

And although this blog is primarily for books I review, I figured I'd not try to review any part of this book for you all... because I know that there are going to be flaws in it... I mean I wrote it. And we all know how get with the grammatical errors and such... so instead, I'm going to share the links to review from the launch team with you all.

Feel free to check them out at your own pace.  And if you feel so inclined, click on my link below and grab yourself a copy...

It was a joy to put these words down, so I hope and pray that those of you who pick it up will be blessed by these words.

Looking for where to get your hands on this one?  Here's my personal affiliate link to the book... I hope you enjoy it!

Children's Corner: Ambition's Not an Awful Word

Tuesday, April 01, 2014

I might be the odd man out, but I believe my whole generation was done a disservice by the idea that we were told as young children that we could be whatever we wanted.  We simply had to go out and dream it, and then we could do it.  Even now that I have kids, I still am not sure this is the best advice I was given (and I know of many of my peers that have struggled with the realization they really couldn't be whatever they dreamed up...).

Don't hear me wrong, I want my kids to have dreams and wishes.  I want them to set goals that are lofty.  However, I feel that my job as mom is too help them find the steps to take in order to make those dreams and goals a reality, because those steps are often hard and take a good amount of time and sweat.
